Tropical Green Smoothie
Have you ever told a lot of people that you are going to do something big or something important in a certain amount of time before you even start? I know it sounds like a bad idea. Your inner voice is probably saying, “Why would I?” At least you want to wait until things get started, otherwise how do you know whether it will be finished?
But there are actually a couple hidden reasons behind doing such a high-key thing.
- Psychological Push. You believe in what you are going to do and you are not allowing yourself to back out.
- Accountability Enhancement. You make the world to keep you accountable!
I did something similar over the weekend.
I put an unwritten book up in Amazon Kindle store for pre-order. The fact that it’s unwritten scared the hell out of me. Telling you about this is even scarier. However, I believe in what I am doing and I am willing to push myself to the edge. And YOU, my friend, is my accountability world.
My book is about a 7-day smoothie cleanse action plan. I am creating the plan with the hope of helping a special family member of mine to detoxify her body and lose weight. Her name is Stephanie and she’s the fiancée of Han’s brother Felix. During the time spent in Jacksonville, FL with Han’s family, I am happily getting to know more about Felix and Stephanie. And it breaks my heart to learn what a difficult life they are facing right now.
Stephanie was in the hospital twice over the past two months because she was born with a heart problem. Both times, her doctor had to shock her in order for her heart beat to get back to normal. When I write to you next Tuesday, March 24, she will be having her second ablation in her life. (She had her first one at 12th grade.) The entire family really hopes the surgery could fix her heart. Fingers crossed!
Stephanie showed me a photo of her and Felix taken a few years ago before she was put on her current heart medication and treatment. She looked a lot slimmer in the photo. She complained about how fast and how much weight she has gained due to the medication. The sad part is that she can’t really do normal exercises, at least she’s scared of going to the gym because no one knows when her heart will go crazy again. So the best way for her to lose weight is through detoxifying and changing what she eats every day.
That’s how I seriously started looking into detoxification and cleanse. My smoothie based 7-day cleanse plan is coming along well. Stephanie is excited to try it. Upon her doctor’s approval, I plan to do it with her after she recovers from next week’s surgery. We will track the results.
As I am developing the plan while keeping Stephanie in mind, I started thinking that if the plan works for her, many more people can benefit from it. I believe in what I am doing more and more. So here I am, pre-selling a book that has not been written yet. It’s not about selling for now, it’s about pushing myself to finish what I believe in.
In the meanwhile, enjoy this superb green smoothie packed with avocado, kale, spinach and pineapple. It’s part of the cleanse plan. I hope you like it!
Let’s wish Stephanie gets better soon! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
