Double Strawberry Toast
Whenever I meet cool people, I’ll find a way to start a topic about food with the purpose of finding out what their favorite food is and what food they hate the most. In case I really like them and want to invite them to a homemade dinner in the future, at least I’ll have a general idea of what kind of eaters I will be serving, you know?
Let me tell you that I’ve met a lot of picky eaters, like A LOT! Some people don’t like mushrooms because of the texture. Some people don’t like cilantro because it tastes like soap to them. Some people hate onion. (Seriously?)
Thankfully, I’ve never met a single person who doesn’t like strawberries. Otherwise, I don’t think we can be friends because I LOVE strawberries! I love that they are available year around and it’s so easy to incorporate strawberries into different dishes or transform them into a delicious summer drink.
Today, we are going to put fresh strawberries on toast with a layer of honey sweetened cream cheese. We don’t just stop here. The finishing touch is to glaze the strawberries with warm strawberry jam! Double strawberries, double yum! We also made this recipe for a toast party featuring other 5 different toast recipes. Check out our whole spread here.
I hope you enjoy this 5-ingredient strawberry toast. If you do get a chance to make it, leave a comment and let me know how you like it. Or, share a photo on Instagram with our hashtag #StreetSmartKitchen. I’d love to see your creations!
